Human Papillomavirus Vaccines, W.H.O. Position Paper, May 2017
Here are the updated W.H.O. recommendations on use of the HPV vaccine, thus far introduced in 71 countries. Infection with the human papillomavirus leads to an estimated 266,000 deaths per year. Early introduction of HPV, using the W.H.O. recommended two dose schedule, is especially important in those countries where lack of screening is associated with higher mortality.
